Reports hold that Newcastle are in advanced stage of negotiations for the Cameroonian international Vincent Aboubakar.
The 25-year-old FC Porto striker who is on loan to Turkish side Beşiktaş has enjoyed an impressive season, scoring 12 league goals in 27 appearances and 19 times in all competitions. The Magpies are willing to pay the £8.7m stated the clause in one lump sum.
Vincent has had nine Champions League goals in 16 games during his career. He has also has 49 caps with his National team the Indomitable Lions who are currently taking part in the 2017 Confederations Cup.
His wonderful performance makes Rafael Benitez and Newcastle to push hard for a transfer as a striker of his calibre is needed to solidify their place in the Premier League next season. Other signings the club hopes to make alongside Aboubakar are Florian Lejeune and Afriyie Acquah.
